St. Michael, The Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defence against the wickedness
and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell satan
and all other evil spirits
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen
Prayer for Vocations
Father, you call each one of us by name
and ask us to follow you. Bless your
church by raising up dedicated and
generous leaders who will serve
your people as Sisters, Priests, Brothers,
Deacons, and Lay Ministers. Inspire us
as we grow to know you and open
our hearts to hear your call.
We ask this in Jesus’ name.
Amen
Prayer for Rain
Almighty God, we are in need of rain.
We realize now, looking up into the clear, blue sky above,
what a marvel even the least drop of rain really is.
To think that so much water can fall out of the sky,
which now is empty and clear!
We place our trust in You.
We are sure that You know our needs,
but You want us to ask You anyway, to show
You that we know we are dependent on You.
Look on our dry hills and fields, dear God, and
bless them with the living blessing of soft rain.
Then the land will rejoice, the rivers will sing Your praises,
and the hearts of men will be made glad. Amen
The God Minute is a small group of priests, nuns and lay people who start their day in prayer. Soft music, sacred scripture and a thoughtful reflection are weaved into a 10 minute guided reflection. Listen with your coffee in the morning, while driving to work or taking the dog for a walk. Go to their website https://www.thegodminute.org/ for more information, to listen to today's prayer, or to download their app for iPhone or Android.
Inspired by Pope John Paul II’s encyclical Evangelium vitae (The Gospel of Life), this prayer invokes our Blessed Mother's intercession. It is available as a prayer card featuring an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.
Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.
Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.
