The men of St Thomas Society would like to thank everyone who was involved in the success of our second annual Palm Sunday BBQ pork sale. We sold out again of everything and heard great comments of the quality of the BBQ. Most importantly, thank you for all who came out and purchased meat and sides. Soon, we will let you know STS plans on the donations to many area and community organizations to help further their successful endeavors. Happy Easter from St Thomas Society!
The priests are attending the Chrism Mass in San Antonio on Tuesday. This is the mass where the new holy oils are consecrated for all of the parishes for the entire year. Therefore, we will not have a daily mass on Tuesday.
The masses that we have on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and at the Easter Vigil on Saturday are special masses and need many hands to help with special tasks. We are still short a few ushers and quite a few altar servers. We had hoped for four altar servers for each of these masses. We have one for Thursday, two serving Friday, and no one to serve at the Easter Vigil. To make up for this, we need more ushers. If you are able to help, please contact either Dana Sultemeier or the office.
The contributions you make through the Good Friday Collection make possible the programs that support Christians in the Holy Land. Our sisters and brothers there depend on your generosity.
