Sunday of the "Word of God" January 26th

Pope Francis has asked that throughout the world that the 3rd Sunday of Ordinary Time be a Sunday dedicated to the Word of God. He instituted this with his Apostolic Letter “Aperuit Illis.” During our Masses we will pray for our lectors who proclaim the Sacred Scriptures at our Masses. In addition, we invite all persons to bring their personal bibles to Mass that we may bless them. We invite you to find a special place in your home to enthrone your bible. May we have time each day to reflect on God’s Word that is a “lamp for our lives.”
