The church continues to furnish the members and friends of the bereaved family a place to visit and share memories after a funeral while enjoying food and refreshments. Thank you to all that have contributed to this ministry in the past and thank you to The St. Rose Society for organizing each meal. The preparation and serving is taken care of by an assigned team. The team leader, in turn, calls upon the parishioners on her team to provide the food (usually delicious sandwiches, chips, pickles, potato salad and dessert), set up and to help serve the light meal. Hopefully all parishioners are willing to participate by preparing food or by serving the day of the funeral. Please know that if you are not available to prepare food or help work when called, a monetary contribution to the team leader to purchase the necessary food is an option. There is no charge for this service to parishioners; donations are always welcome and appreciated to help defray the cost of paper goods, coffee, tea, ice and other incidentals. To those who bring food, here are a few guidelines: **Sandwiches do not have to be individually wrapped. You may cut them in half if you wish. **Oblong sheet or tube cakes, with icing that are easily served are preferred. **If possible, please use disposable containers that do not have to be returned. Please call Cindy Eilers at 830-456-4291 to verify that you are currently on the list. Thanks for your support.
