Dear Parishioners,
Thank you for your consideration of the new hours for the Sacrament of Confession. I hope this is good for all. Again, please let me know if I can assist you in anyway, or if you have ideas for programs, bible studies, etc. for our children, youth, adults, and families. This week we celebrate the feast of several saints, among them are St. Brigid and Saints Anne and Joachim. I have placed in the front of the church the 15 prayers of St. Brigid reflecting on the Passion of Christ, and a prayer to St. Anne for our family. My Grandmother had a special devotion to Saint Anne. In the early 1930’s her young son, my uncle Bud, came down with Hodgkin’s Disease. With no hope of a medical cure, she turned to Saint Anne, and prayed that if she interceded for the healing of her son that she would spread devotion to Saint Anne through her life. My Uncle Bud was healed, the illness never returned. My Grandmother prepared a special prayer to St. Anne that I have placed in the church. Have a blessed week! Father Phil
