The Archdiocese of San Antonio invites all Catholics to embark on a spiritual journey by visiting one, some, or all of our 23 designated pilgrimage sites during the 2025 Jubilee Year.

Each site offers a unique opportunity for prayer, reflection, and deepening your relationship with Jesus Christ in this Jubilee Year. By visiting these sacred places and fulfilling the necessary conditions, you can gain the gift of a plenary indulgence.

North of San Antonio, St. Mary’s Church in Fredericksburg has been designated as a Pilgrimage Church.   In writing and praying for the Pope’s intention and receiving the Sacraments of Confession and the Eucharist, one may obtain a Plenary Indulgence.
